Early Spring Evening

Gentle beauty carrying hopes of growth and renewal, the road in front where I once lived... back there, back then, in Whitman County, WA

What, me worry?

A terrible beauty, livelihood for some, an affront for others.

Land or Death

Feelings still run high about land and land ownership in the high valleys of northern New Mexico.

Misty Mountains

A photo I shot years ago in Costa Rica, finally in the age of digital technologies I have been able to bring forth what I actually saw and felt that long ago morning.

First Steps on the Trail

It seems most appropriate to begin with an image, since those are the signposts along the way on our path. And best I believe to begin with a picture of that magical region, the Palouse.

Why the Palouse? Well, it is where I grew up and it is the land itself that most thoroughly shaped me; it's within my soul. In fact, it is my soul. And that is what I hope to illuminate and share on this Web site, over time, and also deeply illustrated with pictures, the photographs that I collect and display here for you. Let's explore them together, because I want to hear and learn your story even as I tell my own. The comment boxes below are wide open, freely use them; I'll not censor them.
